Course Offerings
1. Mental Health Crisis Intervention- This interactive hands-on course focuses on the practice of de-escalation techniques with emphasis on the language of de-escalation of those in mental health crisis. Offering: 8 total hours: Course must be taught either over 2-4 hours sessions in one week (must have 2 day break between course dates) or 4-2 hour sessions in one week.
2. American Government & Politics- This interactive seminar begins with our founding fathers and ends with contemporary exploration of today’s politics. It will cover three branches of government, Federalism, civil rights and liberties, political parties and domestic policy. Offering: 30 hours: Introductory one-day session available. 3. Introduction to Law- This course is an exploration of the judicial (legal) system in the United States from criminal to civil law. The course begins with the introduction of what law is and ends with alternatives in dispute resolution. Offering: 30 hours: Customized scheduling available. 4. Introduction to Criminal Law- This interactive seminar explores the fundamentals of criminal law and procedures, inchoate, homicide, vice, white collar and many of offenses against public health, order and safety. Offering: 30 hours: Customized scheduling available.
5. American Constitution: Civil Liberties and Civil Rights- This course covers a brief history of the birth of the United States Constitution, with a major emphasis on the Bill of Rights. We will be exploring contemporary events to better understand how the United States Constitution is applied. Offering: 30 hours: Introductory one-day session available.
